While working on a new sample album this morning I came across this image I took from Elyse and Davids wedding last year.  It really makes my day when I come across an image later in time that I never put much thought into earlier on. I think this photo tells many different stories.  One of my goals this year for my photography is to amp up and imporove my photojournalistic skill set. What do you see in this photo? Comments, opinions?

I really like this photo. To me it says these are the groomsmen in the morning, eating a quick meal while taking a photo of his girlfriend or mother. While the other gentleman is relaxing with a cigarette. They are about to go in and finish dressing up and will be on their way to the wedding shortly.

    How far off am I?

Thanks for comment Harvey. The photo was actually taken during the outdoor reception. I love your take on the shot…and that is my point. I want to see what different people get out of the photo.

It is visually arresting and makes you stop to look at it. Great job. It doesn’t necessarily tell a story (not to me, anyway) – it just makes me stop and look for a while. Unique photos are the best ones.

I love it. There is a certain drama in the air even though they are just going about their business. Maybe it’s because that guy has a James Dean thing going on. If the guy in the back didn’t have the glasses or the camera…I think it would be hard to tell when this image was taken….In a way it seems timeless.
