My new temporary office in Mexico.

Disclaimer: I’ve had a few margaritas before and during the writing of this.

Hello friends, fans, and haters! I’m chillin’ (actually you folks back in edmonton are doing that) in Mexico, in the city of Playa del Carmen. I’m here for a destination wedding, and fortunately I have a few days until the actual wedding on Friday. So, i’m just hanging out and having a good time.

Portrait of a Family: The MacDonalds – Edmonton Photography

Early this week i trekked my way out to the MacDonalds beautiful home in south edmonton for a family photo session. It was a tough day. It was the first real snowfall in the city, and it might have rubbed off on little Calum – he didn’t want much to do with my camera. But you can’t blame the little guy! I’d be afraidd of me as well at his age! I could only imaging being one and a half and having to face a 6 foot tall guy, with a giant machine in front of his face making loud clicking noises! Poor fella. After a difficult indoor session we headed outside where Calum was a much happier boy!

I love these photos and am happy to share a few of them. Don’t they look straight out of some winter abercrombie catalogue? This is one good looking scottish family! Not that other scottish families are ugly or anything!

Our Wedding

I’m a little late with posting anything about our own wedding this year – but i’ll only be posting a small handful of photos. I was disciplined to leave my camera alone for most of the day, but Lindsey and I snuck out for 10 minutes during the reception and I busted out a couple shots of my stunning wife. How could I not?

Not only does Lindsey looks amazing, that stunning orchid bouquet is something else. Flowers were by Best Buds Flowers.

These next two photos are from our awesomely talented photographer Ashley Champagne. Isn’t this shot below an incredible family portrait? I happen to think so! This photo is of Lindsey, myself, and my wonderful parents. I love it. Hopefully as many people as possible read this blog post before Lindsey makes me remove the photo when she sees this!

Portrait of a family – The Murrays

Saturday afternoon I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Murray family. It was a crisp and windy day in downtown Edmonton, but we made it work and the Murrays were real troopers walking around the back alleys and rooftops with me.

I love these photos. A lot. The family spirit and individual personalities really show in these photographs.
