It’s been a long time since I put together a blog entry! I’ve been learning some fun new tricks with photoshop and so I though I would slap some images together to show off. Normally, when it comes down to my post production of a photo shoot I don’t do too much heavy photoshopping. Some color tweaks here and there, some black and white methods, skin retouching, the usual. I thought I would challenge myself and do some crazy, heavy, way out there photoshopping and see what I could come up with. I’ve always wanted to play around with textures, and I always love the antique and vintage look of photos, so I set forth with the goal of trying to create an image that was still very usable and with a very low “fromage factor”. I selected a handul of some recent work, and as you will see below some are a hit and some are a miss. But I understand that can be subjective depending on who’s looking at it. So…
….we’re having a contest! I vote for #1. Beautiful couple, and I like the lighting and mountain setting.
Number 1 gets my top vote. The photo is set up beautifully. You have this great couple in the shot just to the right and surrounding them is this breathtaking landscape. There is something poetic, for me at least, about a newly wed couple and the wild untamed mountains.
I vote for Photo #1 because I like the immense contrast between the vast expanse of rugged mountains and the picture perfect bride and groom. It looks like they are completely isolated out in the wilderness on top of a mountain with nobody around for miles, and by the way they are looking at each other they are just fine with that.
Their pictures were gorgeous! This picture brings out the LOVE and DELICACY of having a child in your arms.
Ooops…I guess I should have put the number of my choice…that would be #2 all the way.
I love all your pictures but #2 is my favourite. You managed to capture the most beautiful moment between a mother and her child. This picture is stunning and it gets my vote!
I vote for #2. It totally captures the moment of a mom and her daughter. Love shines through!
Gotta go with #1. You can’t argue with the mountains…
I totally think that # 1 is great. The Picture just toatally is cool. And it really captured the wedding day. The view and how happy the couple are.

number 5 gets our vote. the warm fall colours and the country setting give the photo a natural dated appearance avoiding the staged or posed look. well done
